The Student Trainee Program allows students the opportunity to work at Caterpillar while going to school. Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Student Trainee in manufacturing for the 2023-2024 school year
Student Trainees will work approximately 15 hours a week in manufacturing in Caterpillar’s Peoria campuses
Following training in safety and manufacturing processes, student trainees will work closely with manufacturing technicians in one or more of the following areas: welding, assembly, and paint
Basic Qualifications:
Must be a high school senior attending Manual or Quest High School
Must be able to work 15-20 hours per week while attending school full time
Desired Qualifications:
Successfully completed a high school manufacturing program
Interest in a potential career in manufacturing
Aptitude for assembly and mechanical work
Ability to follow documented procedures for standard work and perform work safely and without defects
Physical Requirements (with or without reasonable accommodation):
Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods
Ability to perform repetitive operations
Ability to lift up to 35 lbs
Additional Information:
These are part-time temporary openings located in Peoria.
Relocation assistance is not offered for this position.
