Caterpillar’s Construction Industries Services Division (CISD) is hiring a Marketing and Sales Capability Consultant in Peoria, IL! If you are looking for an opportunity to develop customer Service Solutions and be part of a team supporting all North American Caterpillar dealers, this could be a wonderful next step in your career.
Role Summary: To support a small team of North American Marketing Consultants and Product Specialists tasked with helping dealers expand their Hydraulics business, with a focus on Hose and Couplings. Assist in decisions and recommendations for strategic advantage and contribute to Sales to End Users (STU) for Caterpillar branded parts growth.
As a Marketing and Sales Capability Consultant, you will apply previous field experience and knowledge of process improvement methodologies to improve dealer business model formulation, marketing and sales capabilities, and overall customer experience. You will also be accountable for contributing to the identification, analysis, and recommended resolution of dealer sales channel opportunities.
Job Duties:
Advise dealers on marketing, sales and customer-related strategies, systems and processes.
Counsel dealers in developing increased human performance capability such as identifying performance gap solutions.
Advise on existing and potential customer experience issues and improvement measures such as recommending ways to enhance market coverage and customer experience through training, technology enabled and bundled solutions, channel expansion, etc.
Consult with dealers on process improvement methods and assist with process evaluation.
Oversee and promote programs that increase sales while achieving price realization and profit margins.
Skills Developed: Subject matter expertise and the ability to sell ideas; effective communication to resolve differences across product, industry, dealer and/or customer audiences to gain understanding and acceptance of ideas and recommendations; leadership to improve and execute processes.
Basic Qualifications:
College degree or equivalent marketing/product experience in lieu of a degree.
4+ years of marketing, sales, product and/or field-based assignments in related industry.
Basic project management and data/metric interpretation skills.
Proficient utilizing Microsoft Excel.
Self-starter and team player.
Strong communication, presentation, and training skills.
Desired Qualifications:
Prior experience using Power BI dashboards to review and interpret data/metrics.
Broad business background and product or industry knowledge.
Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with various stakeholders.
Demonstrated skills in influencing to persuade others regarding new customer focus strategies, innovative business models and expanded distribution methods.
