Description
To lead an Enterprise wide NPI team for base machine electronics & software architecture integrating Automation & Autonomy, Grade, Telematics, Condition Monitoring, and related technologies.
Job Duties
Provides leadership to Enterprise wide NPI team accountable for base machine electronics & software architecture integrating Automation & Autonomy, Grade, Telematics, Condition Monitoring, and related technologies. Team must develop thorough understanding of assigned product group requirements and develop rigorous plans with engineering execution across base machines meeting product group time, cost, and quality targets.
Team develops a 10–12-year product development plan for base machine technology integration in partnership with and in support of the product groups, ensuring base machines meet all functional and reliability goals, financial targets, customer satisfaction and budget pertaining to technology integration.
Incumbent ensures development and training of team. Decisions directly impact product group sales and profit, research, and capital investment. Continuing challenge is to gain consensus from a variety of disciplines on appropriate goals, development plans and resources to assure program success.
Moderate travel required (5% - 15% of working time).
Basic Qualifications
The position requires a college or university degree or equivalent experience.
In addition, 10-15 years of progressively responsible job-related experience are typically required.
The position requires thorough knowledge of company products and product applications, including a background in electronics.
Broad company knowledge and strong understanding of product development for electronics & software is also required.
Excellent interpersonal skills are required in order to deal with sensitive issues, develop others, or persuade others inside and outside the department to take specific actions.
