Supplemental - 3rd Shift - East Peoria Bldg LL

We are currently seeking a Quality Specialist Trainee to join Team Caterpillar. You will be responsible for audits where you will analyze special problems arising from faulty methods and recommend corrective measures. You are also responsible for meeting all safety, quality and productivity standards.

Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

• Perform a variety of inspection functions to check quality and accuracy of in-process parts

• Conduct audits using gauging and visual techniques to determine conformance to material specifications

• Document non-conformances by using in place structured computerized documentation systems

• Analyze special problems arising from faulty methods

• Lays out parts using advanced mathematical calculations and precision inspection equipment

Required Qualifications:

• Previous experience in Operations

• Work in an environment with frequently changing temperatures

• Walk, squat, and bend over for intervals at a time

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Strong commitment to safety and quality

• Meticulous and analytical nature

• Ability to work various shifts and flexible hours

Desired Qualifications:

• Ability to perform basic math and simple computer operations

• Previous work experience in a weld environment

Additional Information:

• 3rd Shift

• Pay is $22.25 hr with an additional $0.75 shift differential for working an off shift

• This is a supplemental position (40 hrs week) with limited benefits located at the Caterpillar manufacturing facility located in East Peoria, IL - Building LL

• No relocation package is available
