We have an exciting opportunity for you as a Technical Engineering Manager (internally known as Engineering Manager-2) within the Motor Grader engineering team. This position will lead a team of 15-20 direct reports and will be located in Peoria, IL.
This position will be responsible for the Machine Integration, Performance Structures and Structures teams, for owning the development of and adherence to the yearly R&E budget, and for maintaining the engineering footprint required to accomplish the long-term business strategy. The Technical Manager position is critical to ensure that NPI programs exceed cost goals, meet all functional requirements, and meet or exceed the quality targets set out for the program at first production. The Technical Manager must emphasize a Lean Product Development system with an emphasis on reflection and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Guidance for and management of the Machine Integration, Performance Structures, and Structures teams (Illinois based).
Partner with core product development resources (integration, system teams, VPD, data and controls) located at the Engineering Development Center in Chennai, India.
Work with partners to develop the Motor Grader R&E budget as well as to manage the business to adhere to the budget throughout the year.
Maintain the worldwide engineering footprint to align the skills and headcount needed to meet the 10-year product development plan.
Execution on time, cost, and quality requirements aligned with product group and value chain / partner requirements.
Manage direct team to enhance skills, provide development opportunities, and ensure the necessary skill growth to meet product development requirements.
Engage the Lean Development process and ensure continuous improvement in areas of responsibility.
The successful candidate must bring (Basic Qualifications):
Bachelor’s degree in accredited engineering curriculum.
Experience with machine design including machine integration.
10-15 years of varied engineering experience.
Experience directly or indirectly leading international teams.

Ability to collaborate across worldwide teams in multiple organizations and functions to drive results.
Knowledge and experience including products, processes, design and evaluation, and organization vision, procedures, and policies.
Master’s degree (or equivalent) in an accredited engineering curriculum.
Demonstrated ability to facilitate a highly collaborative and inclusive team culture to work through difficult issues.
Technical experience related to Motor Graders.
Demonstrated expertise in one or more component or systems.
Additional Info:
Location: Peoria, IL
15-20% international and domestic travel is expected.
