Caterpillar Inc. seeks Embedded Software Team Leads at its facility located at 2427 E Engine Drive, Chillicothe, IL 61523.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Will act as an individual contributor as a technical SME and also be responsible for leading controls engineers in the development of embedded control system strategies for diesel engine systems, including system and software requirements development, model-based control strategy design using Simulink and/or Stateflow, software verification against requirements using simulation and embedded targets, design, code, and test reviews, and field issue resolution. Will be expected to pull input from the whole team, plan and manage the job project and formulate decisions and develop create critical software component(s) and systems or processes within budget.

May work remotely within commutable distance. Multiple Positions Available.

REQUIREMENTS:

Position requires a Bachelors’ degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer information Systems, Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics) or related and five (5) years of experience in embedded diesel engine control (electronic controls) with experience working with Matlab, Simulink, C, Lauterbach Debugger, Control Desk, Vector tools, and Git.

Alternatively, will accept a Masters’ Degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer information Systems, Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics) or related and two (2) years of experience in embedded diesel engine control (electronic controls) with experience working with Matlab, Simulink, C, Lauterbach Debugger, Control Desk, Vector tools, and Git.
