We are looking for a Manager of Facilities Security to develop and implement region-specific security policies and procedures and advise and collaborates with facility security staff to ensure regulatory and legal compliance.
What You Will Do:
Manage security, fire and emergency response for Caterpillar operations in the Peoria area.
Design and implement region security plans, collaborating with business units on Emergency Management plans.
Develop, monitor, and update country specific security profiles; gather and report security-related information from local and regional sources.
Ensure security policies and procedures are enforced across a geographic region.
Implement security policies and procedures across a geographic region.
Ensure regulatory security guidance is implemented appropriately.
Lead the development, implementation, and enforcement of organization‑wide security risk‑assessment frameworks, policies, and control standards
Monitor business needs against security risks, recommending system and process enhancements to improve overall information security
Contribute to strategic security planning efforts, including the 2026 Global Security business plan, Honeywell capability alignment, and maintaining 99.7% Legal Security and Public Policy (LSPP) Forecast accuracy
Conduct facility‑level assessments, update Facility Security Manager (FSM) Security Standards, and provide ongoing guidance to FSMs on HazMat response, surveillance systems, and key‑control programs
Deliver onboarding, operational support, and contingency‑planning documentation to leaders.
Engage in and support emergency management initiatives, participating in active‑shooter and terrorism‑preparedness training and strengthening organizational readiness
What You Have (Basic Skills Required):
Planning: Tactical, Strategic: Knowledge of effective planning techniques and ability to contribute to operational (short term), tactical (1-2 years) and strategic (3-5 years) planning in support of the overall business plan.
Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.
Consulting: Knowledge of techniques, roles, and responsibilities in providing technical or business guidance to clients, both internal and external; ability to apply consulting knowledge appropriately.
Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
Information Security Administration: Knowledge of information security administration; ability to develop and apply an organization's information security policies, standards and procedures ensuring the integrity and safety of information.
What will Put you Ahead (Preferred Skills/Experience):
Demonstrated ability to provide clear, concise and strategic briefings
Demonstrated thought leadership and initiative to develop, plan and execute security strategies
10+ years of Federal, State, Local, or Department of Defense law enforcement and/or US Intelligence Community Agency experience in a complex investigative task force environment regarding violations of US law

This role will be based onsite in Peoria, IL
Domestic relocation assistance is available for those who qualify
Domestic travel up to 25%
This position requires working onsite five days a week.
Summary Pay Range:
$128,470.00 - $192,710.00Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
