Caterpillar is hiring a Senior Facility Procurement Manager, responsible for North America (NA) Facility Supply and New Product Introduction (NPI). As a Senior Facility Procurement Manager, you will oversee Facility Supply Managers supporting North America EMD production as well as Procurement Product Engineers supporting EMD NPI programs. The position manages North America Facility Supply Managers to deliver year-over-year Quality, Cost, Logistics, and Availability metrics aligned to EMD execution goals and NA Procurement NPI leads that ensure Procurement teams are meeting or exceeding programs’ milestones.
What You’ll Do (Job Duties)
- Accountable for the execution of the Category Strategy at the Facility level, collaborating with Supply Chain to enable success of the EMD Facilities in NA.
- Identifies resiliency and performance gaps within the supply base and collaborating with accountable Category team to create improvement plans for the identified gaps.
- Utilizing metrics to identify gaps and opportunities proactively and assist Leaders and Team members with prioritization as needed, regularly reporting progress to Senior Leadership Teams.
- Evaluate sustainable strategic options, deciding on a course of action and implementation.
- Invested in development and coaching of direct reports, including strong collaboration with all functional areas, driving alignment on goals and accountability.
- Represent Procurement in NA NPI Leadership reviews
What You Have (Core Skills)

- Quality Management: Knowledge of quality management methods, tools, and techniques and ability to create and support an environment that meets the quality goals of the organization.

- Managing Multiple Priorities: Knowledge of effective self-management practices; ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities, making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation.
- Supplier Management - MFG: Knowledge of processes and methods to effectively manage business relationships and transactions with suppliers of raw materials or product components; ability to apply related knowledge, experience and skills into real practice.
- Procurement Function: Knowledge of responsibilities, accountabilities, and organization of procurement function; ability to perform tasks and activities of the procurement functions or department.
- Purchasing Tasks and Activities: Knowledge of policies, regulations and processes of purchasing; ability to use practices and procedures for procurement of materials, components, equipment and services.

- Extensive Planning experience: effective planning techniques and ability to contribute to planning in support of the overall business plan
- Knowledge of major responsibilities and tasks of Audit and Compliance
- Knowledge of Earthmoving products and the NPI process
- Ability to utilize business processes and technologies for gathering, storing, analyzing, and providing access to data that helps the organization make better business decisions
- Strong skills in Collaboration and Communication

Summary Pay Range:
$159,120.00 - $238,680.00Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
