This is a senior, hands on technical‑ leadership role. The Technical Deployment Manager combines deep Dynamics 365 and Azure integration expertise with strong deployment judgment, System Integrator (SI) governance, and cross functional‑ leadership to deliver repeatable, scalable ERP deployments across the Caterpillar dealer network.
What You Will Do:

- Enforce Cat Converge Suite standards and playbooks, holding System Integrators accountable to Caterpillar technical standards, deployment tooling, and approved implementation patterns.
- Provide deployment leadership, including:
- End‑to‑end deployment ownership, validating dealer‑specific solution blueprints and ensuring alignment to Cat Converge standards and Microsoft Success by Design principles.
- System Integrator governance, acting as the primary technical authority and escalation point for SI‑supported deployments.
- Risk‑based decision making, serving as the technical authority for deployment readiness, risk acceptance, and go‑live approval.
- Cross‑functional leadership, partnering closely with Cat Converge Product Management, Engineering, Security, Data, and Infrastructure teams, and translating complex technical risks and trade‑offs into executive‑ready communication.
- Coordinate and align teams working across multiple aspects of digital programs within the Caterpillar dealer ecosystem.
- Represent the Voice of the Dealer into Product and Engineering teams to inform future platform capabilities and deployment improvements.
- Develop deployment team capability and technical depth across Dynamics 365 CE & F&O and supporting deployment tooling (e.g., Mavim, Leapworks).
- Provide strategic leadership to the deployment team, setting priorities and ensuring focus on quality and outcomes.
- Deliver against enterprise deployment targets established for each calendar year.
- Manage deployment team travel and expense (T&E) budget.
What You Will Have:

- Data migration and cutover strategy
- Hands‑on experience in a deployment leadership role for Dynamics 365.

- Awareness of Microsoft release cycles and the ability to assess new platform features for business value.
- Understanding of system lifecycle management, including adoption and change considerations.
