Job Summary:

As a Strategic Consultant, you will serve as an advisor between Caterpillar’s Digital Behavior & Marketing Data Lake (DIW/DBM) teams and our Rental and related enterprise and Dealer partners. Your will facilitate the alignment of technical IT/Data engineering capabilities with complex business and marketing objectives to drive enterprise growth.

In this role, you are responsible for making sophisticated data sets highly consumable, empowering analytics teams and site owners to translate raw information into high-performing digital experiences and optimized dealer marketing strategies. You will bring together the knowledge of Architecture and Data Engineering and business teams to determine requirements, govern processes, and assist in developing data-driven insights that drive measurable value.

What You Will Do:

  • Make Data Consumable: Partner with rental and related insights and analytics teams to ensure DIW/DBM data is structured and accessible, enabling them to build powerful visualizations and actionable reporting.

  • Drive GA4 & Site Performance: Consult with digital site and app owners to leverage Google Analytics 4 (GA4) data, identifying integration points that improve user experiences, conversion rates, and overall platform health.

  • Drive AI-Powered Marketing: Partner with dealers and marketing teams to leverage Google Analytics 4 (GA4) data with AI capabilities, enabling predictive audience modeling, automated campaign optimization, and more personalized customer journeys.

  • Optimize Dealer Marketing Spend: Guide dealers on using DIW/DBM data to refine their marketing and audience segmentation, ensuring they maximize ROI on their digital campaigns.

  • Strategic Discovery: Facilitate sessions with stakeholders to uncover "blind spots" in the customer lifecycle, identifying where data-driven insights can solve previously unaddressed customer problems.

  • Technical Translation: Bridge the gap between business needs and technical execution by converting business requirements into clear Epics, Features, and Support Cases for architecture and engineering teams.

  • Adoption & Change Management: Drive the deployment of DIW/DBM tools, ensuring dealers understand the value proposition and successfully integrate data into their daily decisioning.

  • Process Governance: Refine intake and handoff processes to ensure that business requirements are accurately prioritized within the data ecosystem teams.

  • Education: Conduct high-level training and presentations to educate partners on the strategic advantage of Google Analytics data, creating a culture of data-driven decision-making.

Vendor/Supplier
Management: Knowledge of external provider management processes and ability to effectively manage the business relationship with external providers (e.g. vendors, service providers, contractors, consultants and suppliers).
Digital Marketing: Knowledge of processes, techniques, and platforms of digital marketing; ability to implement or manage digital marketing programs.

Considerations For Top Candidates:

  • Educational Foundation: A four-year bachelor’s degree in Digital Marketing, Analytics, eCommerce, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

  • Analytics Expertise: Google Analytics Individual Qualification (GAIQ) with a proven track record of using GA4 to drive marketing insights.

  • Cloud & Data Proficiency: Hands-on technical experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), specifically BigQuery, alongside Snowflake and general data lake integration.

  • Marketing Technology Savvy: Deep understanding of MarTech stacks, digital marketing products, and the technical documentation required to bridge business and engineering teams.

  • Strategic Communication: Superior verbal and written skills with the ability to influence executive management and facilitate complex discussions across diverse global cultures.

  • Agile Project Management: Proficiency in Azure DevOps (ADO) for managing Epics and User Stories, combined with strong program management and change management expertise.

  • Global Collaboration: Extensive experience leading distributed teams, effectively managing both onshore and offshore resources in high-change, fast-paced environments.

  • Software Competency: Advanced skills in the Microsoft Office 365 suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) to support data-driven storytelling and reporting.

  • Institutional Knowledge: In-depth familiarity with Caterpillar’s organizational structure, policies, and digital standards is highly preferred.

Summary Pay Range:

$112,710.00 - $169,060.00
