The Opportunity:
The Senior xP&A Accounting Consultant will join our Global Finance Strategy team supporting the xP&A Workstream for Program Oasis. The primary responsibility is financial forecasting and analysis design and execution within OneStream. This entails developing and implementing comprehensive financial forecasting models, utilizing data analysis to predict future financial performance, collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather relevant information, and presenting actionable insights to senior leadership to inform strategic decision-making. This role will work closely across the segments, Corporate Forecasting and with integrator to collaborate on future state process design, methodology, governance, testing, and training.
What you will do:
- Lead the development of XP&A model within OneStream to support strategic objectives of Global Finance Transformation
- Define appropriate dimensions and operational metrics or indicators to inform forecasting assumptions
- Evaluate the need for multiple scenarios based on different conditions or risks to inform stakeholders
- Work with cross-functional teams to gather input, understand business variability and ensure alignment with forecasting
- Lead the design of clear and concise financial forecasts and reports for senior management highlighting key insights and actionable recommendation future reporting and analysis views
- Develop multi-generational project plan for continuous improvement and enhance the forecast methodology to optimize efficiency and accuracy
What you will have:
- Strong Financial Acumen and Caterpillar accountable methodology - understanding of financial principles and modeling techniques and desire to have experience with Caterpillar accountable reporting methods
- Problem Solving – strong critical thinking to understand enterprise view as well as impact to individual business units
- Leverage Data to Support Decisions – proficiency in data manipulation to support decision making
- Time Management – appropriately prioritize workload to manage multiple projects to meet deliverables
- Analytical Thinking – ability to identify key business drivers, analyze complex data and draw meaningful conclusions
- Communication Skills – excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively present to stakeholders at all levels
- Collaboration Skills – ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams to gather necessary information
- Technical Proficiency – familiarity with financial forecasting and/or OneStream software
- The position typically requires a professional degree or certification requiring several years of full-time study after a college degree

Summary Pay Range:
$144,960.00 - $217,320.00Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
