As an Operation & Execution (O&E) Consultant, you will lead and support the strategic growth initiatives for Caterpillar business units through O&E Model governance. In addition, you will partner with numerous functional areas to support strategy development and the OIA Refresh.

What you will do:

• Actively support the Enterprise O&E Model governance process.
• Work with business unit leadership to define strategic growth initiatives through the O&E Annual Reviews and OIA development & maintenance.
• Understand, follow, and provide process improvements to the O&E Model with responsibility of updating OIA reference guides, O&E Playbook and O&E Model training materials.
• Compose professional, succinct reports; develop executive summaries and perspectives for senior leadership.
• Assist and lead ad hoc process improvement projects throughout ESD and Caterpillar Business Units.

What you will Bring (Skills & Experiences):

• Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field. Demonstrated experience in accounting/finance/business roles with increasing responsibility.
• Influencing: Knowledge of effective influencing tactics and strategies; ability to impact decisions within and outside own organization.
• Strategic Thinking: Knowledge of the importance of “big picture” thinking and planning; ability to apply organizational acumen and competitiveness to identify and maintain focus on key success factors for the organization.
• Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.
• Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive and accurately interpret ideas, information and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
• Financial Analysis: Knowledge of tools and approaches of financial analysis; ability to read, interpret and draw accurate conclusions from financial and numerical material

Top Candidates Will Also Have:

• High levels of initiative, leadership and good judgment.
• Excellent business acumen and intellectual curiosity.
• Ability to maintain an Enterprise focus
• Proven positive results in customer service and business partnering.
• Familiarity with financial systems and PowerBI
• CPA, CMA or any accounting & finance related certification.

Additional Information:

• The location for this position is Peoria, IL
• This role is a full time and currently requires 3 days a week in office
• Domestic relocation assistance is available for those who qualify
