Overview
The Food Service Lead supervises and coordinates activities of the workers in the food service areas to ensure timely patient meal deliveries and high levels of customer service.
Responsibilities
Monitor activities in kitchen, dish room and retail food service areas to ensure that quality standards are maintained to include cooking & preparation of patient meals.
Responsible for staffing, call offs / absences, and training.
Completed food service staff written work schedule.
Ensures that department meets all local, state and federal regulatory requirements.
Under management diretion will maintain standards of service and discipline according to policies and procedures established within the department.
Ensure all orders through vendors are placed by cut-off date/time.
Ensure all cleaning tasks are being completed daily/weekly/monthly.
Completes WR of equipment and department.
Reports department and patient safety concerns to mgr.
With direction from Food Service supervisor; oversee total food service operation in the absence of management
Supervise the patient service line process.
Complete lead shift checklist daily / weekly / monthly.
