Overview
Operating Tru-d and HALO total room disinfecting units to assure rooms receive total disinfecting cycle after cleaning. Technician will be well versed in discharge room cleaning and EVS policies/procedures. Candidate will also work closely with nursing Supervisors, Managers and Bed Control to assure rooms are closed for cycles. Candidate will be well versed in Values and EVS Policies and Procedures. This position could require additional tasks, if cycles allow, to include floor work/burnishing, cleaning of corridors and nurse's stations or any tasks as assigned by Leads.
Responsibilities
- Prepares discharge clean rooms for total disinfecting. Opening drawers, cabinets, etc. to allow proper air flow. Covering vents and fire alarms. Sealing off the room to alert staff and prevent staff from walking into a room being cycled.
- Operates Tru-D and HALO disinfecting units per policy and procedures
- Sets room back after total disinfecting to include making beds, closing cabinets and drawers, removing vent and fire alarm covers.
