Job Description

JOB SUMMARY:
The Perioperative Business Partner is responsible for enabling clinical, operational, and financial outcomes improvement through consultative partnerships and the use of data and analytics. The Perioperative Business Partner specializes in scoping analytic work with customers, documenting business needs and problems, and translating them into analytics solutions that are used to improve decision-making and clinical or business outcomes. The Perioperative Business Partner bridges the technical expertise of analytics with the operational expertise of clinical and business leaders. The Perioperative Business Partner is skilled in looking for business problems that can be supported by analytics, as well as driving buy-in with stakeholders once analytics solutions are deployed. The Perioperative Business Partner collaborates with the other analytics team members to develop solutions and then collaborates with end-users to use the solutions designed to drive improvements, interpret results, identify opportunities, and monitor outcomes.

Educational Requirements
            Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration or Business Administration or Associate's Degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration or Business Administration; Bachelor's degree in five (5) years


Demonstrated proficiency in presenting information to other groups. • Informal leadership skills and ability to work as a team member. • Understanding of analytical methods, tools, statistics, and data management. • Familiarity with healthcare business operations. • Experience as an excellent oral and written communicator. • Minimum 1 year experience in healthcare preferred.

Essential Functions
  • Ability to evaluate and compile financial reports to support business decisions, expenditures, and cost-benefit analysis
  • Leads projects around implementation and evaluation of work flows, new technologies, and efficiencies
  • Ability to manage projects and tasks within a project timeline and can work independently and in teams to achieve defined outcomes.
  • Maintains a collaborative relationship with team, clinicians, providers, clinical leaders and other departments
  • Identifies opportunities for revenue enhancement and cost reduction and works with appropriate leaders to effect implementation
  • Assists in the development of capital and operating budgets consistent with organizational goals.
  • Assists in creating a culture of innovation, learning, teamwork and professionalism consistent with the organizations mission and values
  • Ability to have a flexible work schedule, maintain confidentiality, and handle multiple priorities
  • Adheres to all Carle Health policies and the Carle Behavior Standards
  • Participates in policy/procedure development related to Perioperative Support Services areas of responsibility
  • Participates in multidisciplinary and process improvement teams. Participates and represents the department in meetings and committees as needed and represents the department
  • Submits IT, Telecom, Facilities Work Requests as needed.
  • Other duties and/or projects as assigned
