Job Description
Carle Health is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to join our growing Outpatient Gastroenterology team in Peoria, Illinois.
Position details include:
- Opportunity to practice exclusively in an Outpatient Gastroenterology Clinic in a well-established and well-known GI Practice in Central Illinois.
- The GI Outpatient APP will
- Perform H&P on new patients and see return patients for various GI conditions including: autoimmune, hepatitis, viral hepatitis, IBS, Crohn’s Disease, Ulcerative Colitis, gastritis, PUD, GERD, anemia, dysphagia, pancreatitis, diverticulitis, celiac disease, EPI
- Job functions include: ordering and interpretation of labs / imaging results, prescribing medication, ordering EGD / Colonoscopy / ERCP /EUS, and following up after procedures to review pathology with patient.
- Cohesive group of colleagues and supportive staff allowing for autonomy while building the practice according to your preferences.
- Carle Health Gastroenterology consists of Five Gastroenterologist who have been with our practice for over two decades, and two Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioners with a combined service of 17 years with our Practice.
- Daytime Schedule: Four 10-hour days per week (7:00AM – 5:00PM) or 5 days / week (8:00AM – 4:00PM). NO CALL, NO WEEKENDS, NO HOLIDAYS.
- Fully integrated system with clinics and hospitals on EPIC EMR to improve care coordination.

Education/Experience Requirements:
- Master’s degree in nursing with Acute Care / Adult / Geriatric / Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
- GI clinicals or work experience is a plus, but not required.
Licensure/Certification Requirements:
- Current Illinois registered nurse license and advanced practice nurse OR physician assistant licensure
