Job Description

JOB SUMMARY:
To provide assistance to the Clinical Skills Educators and the students in both the Simulation Center. Prepares stations for scheduled skill modules. Ensures that each station has sufficient equipment and supplies for students to complete assigned skills or scenarios. Assists students by reviewing skills, scenarios, appropriate videos and text.Reviews and prepares for upcoming scenarios with the Clinical Skills Educator. Monitors the disposable supplies usage and reports low supplies to the Clinical Skills Educator. Cleans and restocks non-disposable supplies. Maintains the cleanliness, orderly and security of the Simulation Center. Facilitates open use of the Simulation Learning Centers during hours when faculty and staff are not present. Performs self-scheduling and coordinates with other student workers to ensure regular lab hours are maintained. Implements approved process/policy for checking borrowed lab equipment in and out. Facilitates appropriate lab activities. Provides routine maintenance of manikins. Provides clerical support when needed and logs student hours on the tracking form in Goggle Docs. Assists with orientation of new Simulation Learning Centers student workers.

CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS
CDL Driver's License Valid driver's license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons upon hire.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Use of usual and customary equipment used to perform essential functions of the position.
  • Must be a current Methodist College student and eligible for Federal Work Study based on Financial Aid.


SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
Ability to use all the functions of the computer, send and receive e-mail, and perform basic computer tasks with instruction and comfortable with learning new applicationsMust have effective oral and written communication skills; ability to interact effectively and courteously with culturally diverse groupsProficient using the internet and Microsoft Office products.
