• Provides surgical technology expertise to deliver both direct and indirect care and service in surgical settings.
• Assists surgeons during operative and invasive procedures, ensuring the availability and proper use of surgical instruments and equipment.
• Demonstrates proficiency in surgical techniques, maintaining a sterile environment, and anticipating the needs of the surgical team.
• Serves as a valuable resource for other technologists, offering guidance, sharing knowledge, and providing support.
• Takes on the responsibility of training new technologists, helping them develop the necessary skills and knowledge for their roles.
• Applies advanced knowledge and skills gained through certification to ensure superior patient care and safety during surgical procedures.
• Demonstrates professionalism, integrity, and empathy in all interactions with colleagues, patients, and healthcare professionals.
• Takes on additional responsibilities as needed to support the surgical team's success and deliver optimal patient outcomes.

EDUCATION
Individuals hired after December 1, 2021 must have completion of Surgical Technology training through an institution, college or Military Program.

CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS
Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Preparation for surgeon specific operative/invasive procedure that's timely accurate, effective and efficient.
• Scrubs on simple to complex procedures for a variety of specialties.
• Plans, anticipates and provides for expected and unexpected intraop events.
• Communicates and collaborates with others.
