Job DescriptionJOB SUMMARY:
Patient cook prepares appetizing food suing recipes create by Carle Health Care for patients and patients guests and must provide courteous service while delivering trays to patients.
CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS
ANSI Accredited Food Handler Certification upon hire.
Prior cooking experience.
- Receive passing grade on Food Safety/Sanitation Skills Test
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
nowledge of materials and methods used in "short order" cooking in a small hospital setting. Ability to both read and understand written instructions, and to communicate with supervisor, nursing staff, patients and other food service workers. Versatility to perform a variety of activities involved in the cooking, preparation and serving of food for patients while following safety and sanitation guidelines provided my Woodford County Health Department.
- Performs all of the duties of the Food Service Cook.
- Demonstrates full competency in three positions.
- Serves as a role model and provides metnoring and training to new staff within the Food Service Department.
