The Department of Civil Engineering and Construction at Bradley University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor or Lecturer level in Construction. This is an on-campus faculty position with a primary focus on teaching and developing undergraduate and graduate courses, supervising students, engaging in service, and/or participating in scholarly activities. We are a committed, student-centered program in Central Illinois that prioritizes accessible undergraduate education, effective pedagogy, and an inclusive learning environment. Applicants should have earned a PhD in Architecture, Construction Management, or other appropriate field. The minimum requirements are a Master’s degree in architecture or construction management and relevant industry or teaching experience. For the tenure-track assistant professor position, preference will be given to candidates with a PhD and significant industry and teaching experience. Individuals with a Master’s degree and relevant industry or teaching experience in Construction Management will be considered for the tenure-track Lecturer position, depending on applicant qualifications. For the Lecturer position, scholarly activities are encouraged but not necessarily required. Preference will be given to candidates whose motivations and skill sets align with genuine care for students and their success, continuous improvement, and service to their profession and Bradley University.
The successful applicant will have a broad background in construction management or architecture, including estimating, scheduling, project management, safety, surveying, sustainability, and proficiency in computer software applications such as CADD, as well as the ability to teach other civil engineering or construction courses as needed. Salary and rank are commensurate with qualifications.

The Department of Civil Engineering and Construction has a strong tradition of excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service to society and the profession. CEC faculty are active researchers, have strong ties to major industrial partners, and are active in professional organizations such as ACCE, ACI, AISC, ASC, ASCE, MCAA, and others. The department has 10 full-time faculty members and approximately 200 students.
