Position: Transfer Evaluation and Articulation Coordinator
Department: Enrollment Management
Report to: Assistant Director of Admission Operations
Appointment: Full-time, 40 hours per week (12-month position)
Status: Exempt
Job Summary:
Reporting to the Assistant Director of Admission Operations, this position is responsible for overseeing the analyzing, evaluating and processing of incoming records to determine academic credit. This position will use analytical skills to make higher level decisions on course equivalencies using university guidelines. This position is also the point of contact for the Illinois Articulation Initiative (IAI), which includes course submissions and Form 13 articulation requests.
Responsibilities:
- Receive transcripts and move applications to appropriate workflow.
- Use the Transfer Evaluation System (TES) and Equivalency Guides to determine course articulations.
- Point of contact for courses called for review by the Illinois Articulation Initiative (IAI).
- Oversee the updating of the Equivalency Guides on a yearly basis, as well as be the point of contact for Transferology.
- Coordinate entry of AP/IB test scores when released each summer.
- Work closely with university academic departments to maintain accurate transfer requirements.
- In coordination with transfer counselors, provide advising to prospective students before and during the application process.
Qualifications:
- 1-3 years similar experience or Bachelor’s degree.
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel.
- Have a demonstrated commitment to diversity and experience building effective workplace cultures.
- Must be able to communicate and interact with peers, subordinates, and diverse constituencies in a mature, empathetic and professional manner that supports effective partnerships.
- Strong organizational skills, including the flexibility to move between strategic work and administrative tasks.
