The Bradley University Department of Nursing invites applications for a nine-month, half-time Clinical Lab Coordinator position.

Qualifications:

  • Holds a license as a registered nurse in the state of Illinois
  • Minimum two years of experience in clinical nursing practice
  • Minimum of an earned master’s degree with a major in nursing

Successful candidates must be competent in clinical skills and functional areas of responsibility. The start date for this on-campus role position is August, 2025 or at the discretion of the Chairperson.

Line of Authority

The Clinical Lab Coordinator is responsible to the Undergraduate Program Director and the Chairperson of the Department of Nursing.

Functions and Responsibilities

The nine-month, half -time, Clinical Lab Coordinator acts as a liaison with administration, faculty, graduate assistants, and students in providing access to lab materials and coordinating lab schedules. Other functions and responsibilities are the same as other faculty to the University, College of Education and Health Sciences, and the Department of Nursing.

In addition, the Clinical Lab Coordinator of the Department of Nursing shall:

Each Semester:

1. Arrange for set up of open labs and skills training in collaboration with Level Coordinators

2. Monitor open lab functions, assist with student skill practice and health assessment practice as needed

3. Order supplies as needed for simulations & lab stock replacement

4. Review student Skills Equipment Bags equipment with Course Coordinators annually.

5. Mannequin upkeep: repair, replacing parts, skins, etc.

6. Assist with implementation of simulation scenarios

7. Assist students with checking out lab items for teaching projects

8. Send out all linen for laundering

9. Stow ordered items from spring

10. Maintain lab inventory list

11. Monitor General Lab upkeep

12. Dispose of needles/sharps
