The Department of Nursing in the College of Education and Health Sciences invites applications for a dynamic and experienced Faculty Member to contribute and participate in program development in the Doctor of Nursing Practice program. This online program will join several successful graduate programs in nursing, counseling, and physical therapy housed within the College of Education and Health Sciences.
Candidates must possess a minimum of a doctoral academic degree (PhD, EdD, DNP). Applicants must be eligible for RN licensure in Illinois with the ability to obtain other applicable state licenses for compliance with out of state distance education regulations. Successful candidates must possess a strong commitment to excellence in teaching, service, and show potential for a productive scholarship program.
Online teaching experience at the graduate level is strongly preferred. This 12-month, on campus position may include teaching in areas of clinical expertise and program need, and scholarship/professional development, as appropriate. The Faculty Member will report to the DNP Program Director and the Chairperson of the Department of Nursing. The Faculty Member will hold the appropriate academic rank at the level of assistant professor. The start date for the on-campus position is Fall 2025.
This faculty position will include: online graduate nursing teaching responsibilities, academic advising, course development/revisions in an online environment, and participation and leadership in department committees.
