The Department of Nursing in the College of Education and Health Sciences invites applications for two full-time, 12-month appointment, In Residence (Non-Tenured Track) Assistant Professor of Nursing – Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP). Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of clinical experience. Online teaching experience at the graduate level and DNP Project and practicum teaching experience is strongly preferred. Advanced Practice Nurse background is strongly preferred.
This faculty position will include: online graduate nursing teaching responsibilities, academic advising, course development/revisions in an online environment, participation in department committees, and scholarship/professional development, as appropriate. This position begins May 2025 and is a 12-month appointment.
Candidates must possess a doctorate degree (PhD, EdD, DNP) and be eligible for licensure as a registered nurse in the State of Illinois with the ability to obtain other applicable state licenses for compliance with out-of-state distance education regulations. Successful candidates must possess a strong commitment to excellence in teaching and service.
