Position Title: Assistant Director of Graduate, International and Online Admission

Reporting to the Director of Graduate, International and Online Admission, the Assistant Director of Admission will play a key role in the growth of graduate, international and online recruitment at Bradley University. Admission counselor positions are based on campus in Peoria, Illinois.
The Assistant Director will represent Bradley University programs to prospective students, applicants and institutions at recruitment activities and events domestically and internationally. In this role you will manage communications plans for prospective students, assist in oversight of Slate CRM, participate in recruitment travel, organize recruitment events including information sessions, collect financial documentation for international students, and coordinate I-20 paperwork with International Student Services. This position requires a person who understands the rhythms of high-volume graduate admission office, recognizing there are periods that require additional time and effort in order to ensure enrollment goals are successfully met.
Position responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Represent the University to prospective students and the general public with the highest degree of professionalism through an array of outreach programs and recruitment activities.
- Manage an individual travel schedule to engage and inform prospective students and their families as well as develop positive educational partnerships and working relationships with community partners.
- Work with the Director of Graduate, International and Online Admissions and Director of Admission Technology to build out Slate functions to support admission counselor duties. This includes but is not limited to: reports, territory management queries, and portal development.
- Analyze current and historical admissions results and trends to develop and implement strategies to surpass enrollment goals.
- Up to eight weeks of in person (and potentially virtual) domestic and international recruitment travel a year.
- Advise prospective students and family members about admission criteria, financial assistance process and other critical factors in the college decision process.
- Participate in a variety of projects and events related to student recruitment both on and off campus.
- Review and assess applications and make university admission and scholarship recommendations.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university
- 3 years of graduate and/or international admissions experience
- Demonstrated experience in Slate Technolutions
Candidates must possess the following skills and abilities:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects; flexible and comfortable in a fast-paced environment, with excellent follow through.
- Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment.
- Entrepreneurial spirit, positive attitude, and energy to implement new strategies and meet ambitious goals.
- Strong organization skills, with keen attention to detail.
- Willingness to travel and work evenings and weekends.
Due to the nature of this position, evening and weekend work can be expected throughout the year, especially during the fall and spring. Candidates should also be prepared to travel overnight based upon the geographic territory assigned and must possess a valid US driver’s license and passport. While the majority of the work is done sitting or standing, the ability to lift boxes weighing up to 40 pounds is also necessary. Candidates may need to access Non-ADA compliant buildings. Candidates must demonstrate strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills; the ability to work independently and within a team environment; possess strong analytical and independent decision-making ability; as well as the ability to work with a diverse population. Working knowledge of MS Office applications is required.
