Tenure Track Assistant Professor, Biology
Bradley University
College of Liberal Arts and Sciences - Assistant Professor of Anatomy and Physiology
The Department of Biology at Bradley University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor beginning August 2025. The successful candidate will contribute to teaching anatomy and physiology at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, maintain an active research program with student collaborators, and contribute to the university through service at the level of the department, college, and university. The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to teach upper-level courses in their area of specialization. The Department of Biology serves an undergraduate and graduate (MS) student population and a variety of other programs across the University.
Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in Biology or a related field and have a willingness to engage in on-line education. Preference will be given to those with at least two years of postdoctoral or equivalent experience. While the specific discipline is open, candidates with a background in biomedical sciences, vertebrate anatomy, or vertebrate physiology are especially encouraged to apply. The candidate is expected to establish a productive research program that engages students and to seek extramural funding for research. A strong commitment to undergraduate teaching and research, as well as potential for excellence in a liberal arts and sciences setting, is essential. We seek candidates who will promote our commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, and encourage applicants from underrepresented communities.
Candidates should submit a cover letter, CV, graduate and undergraduate transcripts (unofficial is acceptable), statement of teaching interests, research plan, a statement detailing your experience with and plans for engaging our diverse student body and supporting Bradley’s commitment to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusiveness, and a list of 3 references.
Please submit all materials at the time of initial application.
Applications received by January 6, 2025 will receive full consideration, but review of applications will continue until the position is filled.
Employment with Bradley University is contingent upon successful completion of a criminal background check.
