Instructor in Residence, Game Art

The Department of Interactive Media at Bradley University invites applications for a full time, non-tenure-track Game Art Instructor-in-Residence position to join our award-winning and nationally ranked game program, beginning August 2025. We are seeking a dynamic individual with the ability to teach the process of creating optimized assets for real-time implementation, with a focus in environment art. This includes instruction from the concepting phase, through 3D construction, and into in-engine rendering.
The successful candidate will have professional and/or academic experience and the ability to teach courses that cover the complete pipeline for game asset creation, including concept art, 3D modeling, texturing, and in-engine rendering. Expertise in Maya, ZBrush, Photoshop, Substance 3D Painter, Substance 3D Designer, Unreal Engine, and Unity is desired. Candidates should also possess the skills necessary to develop and integrate optimized 2D and 3D game art assets for real-time applications. Experience with level design and Unreal Blueprint Visual Scripting preferred, along with a willingness to engage in on-line instruction.
Appointment as a non-tenure-track Instructor-in-Residence requires a bachelor degree in a relevant field and at least five years related professional experience.
This position is a full time, non-tenure-track appointment. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications.
