Assessment Coordinator - Department of Physical Therapy & Health Science (PTHS) housed in the College of Education and Health Science at Bradley University. This position is on campus and not remote.
QUALIFICATIONS:
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of an associate’s degree with administrative experience in higher education. Knowledge and expertise in data entry and analysis is preferred.
LINE OF AUTHORITY:
The Assessment Coordinator will ultimately report to the Department Chairperson and DPT Program Director. The individual will collaborate closely and receive direction from the DPT Admissions Coordinator, Director of Clinical Education, and KHS Coordinator.
FUNCTIONS, RESPONSIBILITIES & PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES:
The Assessment Coordinator will support the Department of Physical Therapy and Health Science (PTHS) mission and strategic initiatives.
The Assessment Coordinator of the Department of Physical Therapy and Health Science shall collaborate with faculty and staff in the areas of graduate physical therapy admissions, clinical education, and undergraduate kinesiology and health science (KHS). This individual will be responsible for the following:
Admissions, Matriculation and Graduation
- Managing the database for Admissions into the physical therapy (PT) program, including preliminary transcript analyses for missing coursework, waitlist management, and submission of changes to the centralized application service.
- Communicating with applicants to the DPT program regarding missing materials, deadlines, waitlist positions, open house registration, etc.
- Communication with the Bradley Office of Admissions, Financial Services Registrar’s office to coordinate the admission, matriculation and graduation of DPT students.
- Generating reports and spreadsheets in support of the admissions process and admission committee decisions.
- Working closely with the Kinesiology and Health Science Coordinator to administer and monitor the Early Assurance process for the DPT, and collect and analyze admissions and retention data and graduate outcomes for the undergraduate KHS major.
- Analyzing and monitoring incoming and current undergraduate academic records for student success and retention
- Maintaining the department website regarding curricular changes, graduate outcomes, and information required for PTCAS and accreditation requirements.
Clinical Education
- Assisting the Director of Clinical Education in managing facility contracts, corresponding with students regarding missing requirements, and running reports for accreditation.
- Coordinating with external vendors regarding clinical placements and requirements.
- Collaborating with clinical education stakeholders, including communication, correspondence, and report creation.
- Documenting and organizing clinical education accreditation required paperwork.
- Providing professional and timely assistance to student or stakeholder concerns.
- Managing the clinical education database software
General Department Management
- Additional duties will include assisting the Department Chair and Program Director in preparing and maintaining documents for DPT and HLC accreditation, alumni relations, and graduate outcomes.
