Appointment Full-time; 40 hours per week (12-month position). $15.00/hour

CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide administrative support for the Smith Career Center; serve as a receptionist; maintain and receive telephone communications, incoming correspondence, visitors, students, employers, alumni, and University personnel; coordinate on-campus and after job fair recruiting efforts in cooperation with Executive Director; create and approve job listings/postings into a database (Bradley network, powered by 12Twenty); supervise multiple student workers who are also engaged in the job listing/posting process; perform other duties as assigned.

To meet the needs of the University, the University retains the right to assign duties and requirements to employees, determine and change starting times, quitting times and shifts, and change appointment specifications.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

One to three years of office experience that demonstrates: the ability to work independently and effectively in high energy office; exhibit sound/accurate judgment; perform detailed job tasks with accuracy; editing and proofreading skills; math computation skills; ability to work with confidential information and records; work/interact with diverse groups of people; show respect and sensitivity for cultural differences; effectively communicate in person, via email and telephone with students, alumni, employers, University personnel and external constituents; proficient in word processing, data entry, spreadsheet and database use; compose correspondence; deal with periodic schedule changes; coordinate/manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously and on deadline. Excel testing, pre-employment testing, and an onsite work sample will be required of final candidates.

Employment with Bradley University is contingent upon the satisfactory completion of a criminal background check.

MENTAL/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Selected candidate must have the mental and physical capabilities to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation. Work is performed in a normal office environment with little exposure to outdoor temperatures or dirt and dust. Working conditions are typically moderately quiet.
