The successful candidate should have demonstrated expertise with new media and the ability to teach journalistic writing and reporting across print, broadcast, social, and digital contexts. The candidate will also teach undergraduate courses in journalism and digital media, as well as other departmental courses as appropriate and be willing to engage in on-line instruction. Preference will be given to candidates who have a background in film studies and/or podcasting and who can articulate ways to best prepare future students for rapidly changing media industries.
Preference will be given to candidates with an appropriate terminal degree, college-level teaching experience, and relevant professional experience.
