The Institutional Effectiveness Analyst performs duties focused on Higher Learning Commission accreditation, compliance, external reporting, data analysis, and curriculum support. The analyst serves as the institutional point of contact for external reporting and is responsible for managing multiple projects at one time while collaborating with units across campus in order to gather information and meet timely deadlines. The analyst works collaboratively with faculty members and staff units across the institution, including academic departments, the registrar’s office, enrollment management, marketing, student affairs, and information technology. The analyst assists with the creation of internal reports and works closely with the Assistant Director. The Institutional Effectiveness Analyst is a member of the Office of Institutional Effectiveness and reports to the Executive Director of Institutional Effectiveness which is housed within Academic Affairs and works closely with the Office of the Provost.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Supporting the work of institutional accreditation by collecting, managing, and archiving documents associated with Higher Learning Commission accreditation processes
- Extracting and analyzing data for institutional improvement and external reporting purposes
- Communicating and collaborating with offices throughout the University in order to compile, review, analyze and submit data for external publications, such as the College Board, Princeton Review, Peterson’s, and US News
- Fulfilling timely data and information requests through the development of dashboards and other reports
- Serving as the Publications Chair for the Curriculum and Regulation process
- Updating and publishing the Undergraduate and Graduate catalogs
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- High proficiency with MS Office applications, especially Excel
- Experience with Microsoft PowerBI or SQL preferred
- Experience with survey software, such as Qualtrics
- Ability to provide good judgment, decision-making, and problem solving
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbal and written
- Ability to work well both on a team and independently
- Ability to manage multiple projects at a time
- Ability to complete tasks on time and meet deadlines
- Active listening, critical thinking, and good interpersonal skills
- Willingness to complete additional training to strengthen skillset
