The Division of Student Affairs invites candidates for a full-time, 12-month, position of Assistant Director of Student Activities. Reporting to the Director of Student Activities, this position is critical to the overall success of student activities and organizations. Through targeted and intentional initiatives and programming, this position will promote student engagement in co-curricular activities including programming and student organization funding.

Assistant Director of Student Activities

  • Primary advisor to the campus programming board, Activities Council Bradley University (ACBU)
  • Primary business operations manager for the student activity fee, includes advising the Student Activities Budget Review Committee (SABRC)
  • Support and advise student organizations regarding programming initiatives and utilization of student activity fee funds of approximately $200,000 per year, includes contracts, purchasing, budget tracking and reconciliations
  • Serve as a co-advisor and supervisor to the Late Night BU programming team, the late night alternative programming board, hosting six events annually
  • Regularly collects and analyzes data and information to assist with assessment efforts and annual reports
  • Collaborate with other departments within the Division of Student Affairs and campus community

The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to collaboration, diversity & inclusion, experiential learning, retention and student activities. A master’s degree is preferred. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in advising, financial affairs, programming, and higher education. Evening and weekend work is required.
