The Department of Communication at Bradley University seeks applications for a full-time appointment for Instructor in Residence (Communication) and Assistant Forensics Coach for the 2024-25 academic year. The position is a one-year appointment (which may include summer workshops) and can be renewed upon approval.

The successful candidate will teach three sections of the Basic Course—COM 103 The Oral Communication Process—each semester. The successful candidates will also assist the Director of Forensics in managing and coaching Bradley University’s nationally ranked speech team and participate in department/university service.

Minimum qualifications for this position include an appropriate academic degree, college-level teaching experience in the basic course, college forensics coaching experience, the ability to travel with, transport and supervise college students (valid driver’s license required) and be willing to engage in on-line instruction. Preference will be given to applicants who have a history of success competing in and coaching individual events on a national level. The position offered cannot be done remotely and there are no relocation or moving funds available. Salary is competitive with experience and qualifications. The expected starting date for this position is August 21, 2024.
