The Assistant Director of Admission Technology will assist in the management of all aspects of admissions technology. This 12-month position reports to the Director of Admission Technology & Operations and upon completion of training, this position will have the possibility of working remotely two days per week.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Assists with gathering data to be utilized for forecasting and reporting.
- Information relating to academic programs, curriculum, students, and faculty is collected, analyzed and reported.
- Provides analytic support and expertise in research design and methods, surveys, data processing and data presentation.
- Assist in overseeing the admissions CRM ‘Slate’ with experience in supporting undergrad (primary) and grad (secondary) instances using technology such as SQL, MS Office Products, HTML.
- Assist other users of the database with training and trouble-shooting
- Identify opportunities to leverage information technology to meet admissions’ goals
- Develop, coordinate and prepare reporting and queries for enrollment management
- Coordinate, create, track and analyze data trends
- Coordinate importing and exporting data, internally and externally.
- Work with staff to facilitate communication flow with prospective students, their families, and high school counselors
- Perform other duties that may be assigned.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree or two years of relevant work experience is required.
- At least three years of related research, communication or project management, or combination of education and experience commensurate with the requirements of this position
- Experience using relational databases, CRMs (Slate), and/or statistical software
- Knowledge of relational database design and management and expertise in a major database package i.e. Microsoft Access, Microsoft Excel or comparable software preferred
- Ability to provide good judgment, decision-making, and problem solving.
- Active listening, critical thinking, good interpersonal skills and ability to multitask.
- Ability to present information in a clear concise manner both in writing and verbally.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbal and written.
- Proficient at collecting, interpreting and synthesizing data from multiple sources.
- Ability to present data in a useful manner for decision making and reporting purposes.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in an organized and efficient manner.
Preference may be given to candidates who have a degree in computer science, management information systems, or related fields. Previous admission, IT, and CRM management preferred. Proficiency with databases, reporting tools, data analysis and business processing tasks required. The successful candidate will possess strong initiative, be organized, analytical, detail-oriented, and able to work independently as well as with a team. This position requires a skilled project manager with strong written and verbal communication skills. Commitment to the value of a comprehensive education and the ability to work with a diverse group of people are also required.
