Responsibilities:
This list is not all inclusive, and is meant to represent the general responsibilities of the Director of Undergraduate Admissions.
- In concert with the Vice President of Enrollment Management, Marketing, and Communications and Assistant Vice President of Enrollment Management, directs the unit’s admission planning initiatives and establishes domestic undergraduate first year and transfer recruitment and enrollment goals
- Implement the institution's undergraduate admission operating policies and procedures to comply with regulations, institutional policies and unit objectives
- Determine the unit's recruiting personnel needs and the unit’s personnel resource allocation plan
- Serve as a liaison among internal and external stakeholder groups providing admission information and representing the division as directed by Assistant Vice President of Enrollment Management
- Advise division leadership on enrollment planning and management and budget allocations for recruitment.
- Plan and direct staff implementation of the institution's admission undergraduate initiatives and programs.
- Lead staff in planning and implementing long and short-term strategies
- Provide leadership, oversight, supervision, and evaluation of Admissions staff
- Analyze complex issues related to admissions technology and develop effective solutions to improve workflow and user experience
- Other duties as assigned by the Vice President of Enrollment Management, Marketing and Communications
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 6+ years in higher education admissions
- Ability to effectively communicate, present, and build relationships
- Knowledge of best practices and latest trends in the profession, including active participation in national, regional, and/or state organizations
- Strong organization and time-management skills
- Ability to work with diverse communities including, prospective students, current students, high school counselors, parents, campus faculty and staff, and external education leaders and organizations
- Strong technological and analytical skills, as demonstrated by the development of successful strategies to recruit and enroll students
- Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience directly managing the work of full-time employees and leading a team to accomplish challenging objectives
- Demonstrated strong commitment to continuous improvement
- Support of Bradley’s mission, vision, and values
Preferred:
- A master’s degree or the international equivalent.
- Experience in and proficiency with Slate.
- Experience with first-year and transfer populations
Due to the nature of this position, some evening and weekend work can be expected throughout the year, especially during limited travel. Candidates should be prepared to travel overnight and internationally and must possess a valid US driver’s license and US Passport. While the majority of the work is done sitting or standing, the ability to lift boxes weighing up to 40 pounds is also necessary. Candidates may need to access Non-ADA compliant buildings.
