Duties and Responsibilities
- Design and develop hydraulic powerpack systems, including packaging and integration of key subsystems.
- Lead integration of engine, transmission, cooling systems, exhaust systems, and chassis components within powerpack modules.
- Perform structural design and validation using Creo and simulation tools to ensure performance, durability, and reliability.
- Develop and review electrical wiring harness designs and interpret electrical schematics for system integration.
- Support electrification initiatives by working on power electronics components and associated systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless system integration and resolve design and performance issues.
- Participate in design reviews, provide technical recommendations, and drive continuous improvement in design processes.
- Support development activities in defense-related powerpack applications (if applicable).
Education / Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering field required.
- 8–10 years of relevant experience in powerpack design, system integration, or related engineering roles.
- Prior experience in hydraulic powerpack design and packaging is required.
- Experience in defense-related powerpack systems is a plus.
- Experience working with electrification and power electronics systems is preferred.
- U.S. Citizenship or Green Card preferred due to the nature (defense) of the work.
Required Skills
- Strong expertise in hydraulic powerpack design and system packaging.
- In-depth knowledge of engine, transmission, cooling, exhaust, and chassis integration.
- Proficiency in Creo for 3D modeling and Creo Simulate for structural analysis.
- Experience in structural design, durability analysis, and mechanical validation.
- Hands-on experience in electrical wiring harness design and schematic interpretation.
- Understanding of power electronics and electrification systems.
- Strong technical knowledge across multiple design domains (mechanical, electrical integration).
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and lead technical problem-solving efforts.
