Duties/Responsibilities:
- Review process to gather and document requirements.
- Access information from the Product Support systems including failure analysis.
- Conduct data analysis.
- Understand the role of hydraulic filtration and system ISO cleanliness.
- Recognize the differences in hydraulic fluids, compatibility, temperature-viscosity selection.
- Perform or be able to interpret system CFD and/or hydraulic simulation modeling results.
- Intro to integration team when placing components ensure lines routings best practices are understood.
- Access components and machine models, approve drawing releases, reassign drawing design control ownership, create new part numbers.
- Work with the releasing team, submitting drawings and 3D models. Publishing 3D models prior to drawing releases to allow systems to confirm proper fit up.
- Hands on inspection of returned hardware such as new components, field failures, etc.
- Conduct risk analysis and apply judgement to determine what mitigation activities are of highest value.
- Review historical validation practices and determine when new plans are needed.
- Analyze application dynamic loading with histograms and make comparison of durability validation plans to determine correlation of test to field applications.
- Compile validation plans for performance and durability evaluations in written form and refine plans with the extended teams as required.
- Coordinate evaluations with the teams who perform them. Ensure test cycles meet expectations; especially related to dynamic load characteristics.
- Coordinate component risk summaries, prepare validation status reports, and present these in New Product Introduction gate/design review meetings with overall conclusions of readiness for production.
- Coordinating specialized investigations as required and keeping teams informed of overall risk summaries and project status.
- As issues are identified, lead team activities to identify root cause, resolution activities, and coordinate revised validation plans to ensure the issue is resolved and new potential risks are mitigated.
- Provide pump/motor expertise to field issue resolution teams including guidance to find cause of failure, review team resolution activities and coordinate validation activities.
- Support team maintenance responsibilities including inspection hardware management and maintaining inspection room cleanliness.

Education & Experience Required:

- Bachelors degree in an accredited Engineering curriculum preferred.
- 3 years of relevant work experience
Required Skills:
- Working knowledge of hydraulic components or systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and hydraulic schematics.
Desired Skills:
- Working knowledge of hydraulic pumps and motors strongly desired
- Experience with databases, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and Apps desired
