Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Participate in daily stand-ups and provide status updates.
  • Understand the customer requirements and develop the software in C programming language.
  • Unit Test software to ensure it meets design and customer requirements.
  • Communicate and present changes/demos to customer.
  • Document customer feedback and communicate with Product Owner.
  • Participate in design review meetings and quality processes.
  • Provide proper documentation to support the software change (i.e. function specs, user guides, manual, release notes, implementation notes, etc.)
  • Stay up to date in skills by studying state-of-the-art development tools, programming techniques, and computing equipment; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.

Qualifications:

  • 3 or more years of overall experience required in the relevant technology.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science/Electrical/ Mechanical or relevant field required.

Required Skills:

  • Profound comprehension of embedded control software and systems.
  • Proficiency in formulating and implementing electronic test strategies pertinent to Engine/Machine/Vehicle ECM (electronic control module), encompassing software, actuators, sensors, injectors, and harnessing, is a valuable asset.
  • Competence in operating laboratory test apparatus (oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, etc.) coupled with relevant expertise in data interpretation.
  • Over three years of hands-on involvement in Embedded C programming.
  • Familiarity with CAN/J1939 protocol.
  • Proficient in utilizing Git for source control and GitHub for collaborative development.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills are essential.
  • Adept at delivering engaging presentations.
  • Familiarity with the escalation process and adept at adhering to it as needed.
  • Capability to work autonomously and adept at time management.
  • Proficient in diagnosing issues arising from test equipment, engineering tools, wiring, and bench configurations.

Desirable Skills:

  • Skilled in utilizing Vector tools: CANape and CANalyzer.
  • Knowledgeable about quality procedures, with potential familiarity with Agile development practices being a beneficial aspect.
