About The Position
The AIC Reliability Standards Compliance Manager holds overall responsibility for program leadership to meet Ameren reliability standards compliance requirements. This position is responsible for the identification and monitoring of reliability requirements and the development of processes, procedures and controls to ensure that AIC meets or exceeds all of these requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
- Develops and leads AIC’s reliability standards (NERC, SERC, FERC, etc.) compliance program, including tracking, planning, and facilitating all related activities and coordinating with other AIC/Ameren Department’s.
- Lead a team responsible for supporting AIC’s reliability standards compliance program.
- Drive a culture of compliance for all AIC stakeholders involved in reliability compliance activities. Ensure leaders responsible for executing compliance policies/procedures are fully engaged with compliance requirements.
- Proactively identifies, continuously monitors all relevant (NERC, SERC, FERC, etc.) reliability requirements affecting Ameren's assets and operations, and ensures that policies, procedures and controls are developed and implemented to meet or exceed the identified requirements.
- Serves as main point of contact for Ameren’s Reliability Standards Compliance Department and coordinates efforts among other work functions to meet all requirements for compliance.
- Takes leadership in AIC’s internal readiness audits for Ameren. Requests/collects/keeps records and data for audit evidence; ensures timely revision of documents and availability of evidence for regional audits and NERC readiness evaluations, and reviews and provides comments on pre and post audit reports.
- Supports, develops and implements training programs to ensure understanding and compliance with policies and procedures; updates training material and deploys updated training to the company’s facilities.
- Assists in developing policy positions and advocates these positions internal to Ameren and with external audiences when necessary.
- Provides Management with periodic updates related to internal or external reliability issues. Provides employees with ongoing direction, coaching and feedback.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited College or University required; specialization in a business or technical discipline required. Ten or more year’s relevant professional experience in the electric utility industry required. Three or more years of high-level project/team leadership or supervisory experience required. Three or more years of professional working experience directly related to NERC/SERC compliance with electric reliability standards required. Substation/relaying experience preferred. Experience that includes overall responsibility for managing and administrating a compliance program is highly preferred.
*This is a hybrid position requiring 3 days in the office and 2 days remotely. The reporting/office location will be in the service territory located in Illinois and will be based on successful candidate's location
