Our Pekin campus produces products destined for Health, Food and Beverage and Industrial markets. All personnel are responsible for the safety of these products, which includes participation in training, following cGMP and food safety requirements in the facility, and reviewing and following SOPs for incoming ingredients and outgoing products.
Job Purpose: This position will be responsible for functions related to scheduling, inventory management and distribution of our products. Assist with other duties as assigned.
The following is a list of major duties and responsibilities for this position along with certain supportive duties. It is not all-inclusive. Other duties and responsibilities may be added as needed and in addition, management may modify this job description as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support the Commercial and Operations teams by acting as a liaison to our customers.
- Schedule all shipments from plants, warehouses, or other offsite locations to customer destinations based on the contract terms and customer’s needs.
- Manage inventories at Plants and off-site storage locations by continuously monitoring the production run rates, deliveries, planned and unplanned outages against shipments and scheduled shipments to ensure adequate product is available for all customers.
- Manage status of all contract volumes. Verify that contracted product volumes are fulfilled in a timely manner and that the pricing and other terms are being followed.
- Inform operations of what products are needed and when to meet necessary customer pickups or deliveries (by arranged 3rd party carriers).
- Manage Calendar on all loads out of Plant as well as proprietary trades via Kinergy for Alcohols (High Quality & Fuel) and Alto Nutrients for Ingredients.
- Responsible for all paperwork related to shipments.
- Set up any carriers (rail, truck and barge) needed per contract requirements..
- Responsible for setting up all orders, pricing and customer ship to locations within our accounting system.
- Responsible for ensuring all equipment quality parameters are in place and followed (i.e. acceptable prior cargo, adequate washouts, etc.)
- Point of contact for customers, brokers, operations / logistics and sales managers regarding order and priority of shipments, bill of lading info, required receivers of paperwork, contract reference info, contract status, etc.
- Participate in 3rd party and customer audits to ensure all quality program requirements are being followed (i.e. mock recalls / lot traceability).
- May require after hours support.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree, preferred or equivalent related experience.
- Must have a strong math acumen with data driven / solutions based problem solving skills.
- Ability to deal with multiple priorities, shifting demands and constant change.
- Proficient PC skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Foster a team approach to achieving goals.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to work at a computer to research, send and receive information, and generate reports.
- Able to communicate by phone and in person. Listen and observe others while communicating in person.
- Sit for long periods when working in office.
- Some stooping and bending when filing and moving boxes of materials and files; lift up to 20 lbs.
- Walk on paved and unpaved surfaces
