We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Grain Scale Clerk to join our seasonal team for our fall harvest season!

The Grain Scale Clerk is responsible for accurately weighing and recording grain transactions, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the scale house. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Operate and maintain grain scale equipment to accurately weigh inbound and outbound grain.
Record and verify grain weights, grades, and other relevant data in the company’s inventory management system.
Issue scale tickets and ensure all documentation is complete and accurate.
Inspect grain samples for quality and ensure compliance with company standards.
Communicate effectively with truck drivers, farmers, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth operations.
Assist with inventory management and data entry tasks as needed.
Maintain a clean and organized work area and adhere to safety protocols.
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS
May be required to drive and run local errands as needed
Address customer needs, complaints and problem resolution
Performs other duties as assigned
Follows the FS Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply
REQUIREMENTS
Previous experience in a similar role or in the agricultural industry is preferred but not required.
Strong mathematical and data entry skills with attention to detail.
Proficiency in using computer software and scale systems.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical ability to lift and move items as needed and to work in varying weather conditions.
