Do you thrive in a fast-paced healthcare transportation environment and have a passion for helping others? AMT is seeking a Non-Emergency Transport Coordinator to ensure the safe and efficient transport of patients requiring non-emergency medical transportation.
What You'll Do:
- Coordinate and communicate effectively non-emergency transport logistics with patients, families, and medical teams.
- Provide Illinois Patient Transport (IPT) attendant coverage for patients needing a second provider, ensuring safety and comfort during transportation.
- Step in to complete patient transports during peak demand to maintain quality care and timely service.
- Maintain accurate transportation records and activities, including patient information, while ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Support transport operations by monitoring service delivery and recommending improvements.
- Train and support transport staff, promoting safety standards, professionalism, and excellence.
- Assist in the development and implementation of transport protocols and procedures to enhance service delivery.

Qualifications
Required Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree in healthcare administration or a related field is preferred.
Required Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in patient transport or coordination.
- Experience in coordinating and scheduling non-emergency medical transportation services.
- Familiarity with healthcare regulations and compliance related to patient transport.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills to manage multiple transport schedules efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and transport staff.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and provide coverage during busy periods.
- Proficiency in using scheduling software and other computer applications relevant to transport coordination.
- Strong problem-solving skills to address and resolve transport-related issues promptly.
- Attention to detail to ensure accurate documentation and compliance with transport protocols.
